UX/UI Audit and New Design Prototype
A detailed UX/UI audit of Rigasudens.lv was carried out, analysing the website structure, navigation, user flows, content clarity, interactive elements, responsiveness, and digital accessibility requirements.
Particular attention was paid to digital accessibility and WCAG requirements, including text contrast, typography, interactive element sizes, focus states, and mobile interface usability.
Based on the audit findings and user behaviour data, a new homepage UI design prototype was developed in Figma.

Current Works Map UX
The current works map was identified as one of the key functions of Rigasudens.lv. In the prototype, the map section was given greater visual priority, while address search, work filters, and fault reporting were brought together into a more consistent and intuitive user flow.
Before and After
The existing website homepage was redesigned based on the findings of the UX/UI audit. The new UI prototype introduces a clearer information hierarchy, more intuitive navigation, and more prominent user journeys for key actions.
Essential functions - including the Client Portal, fault reporting, current works map, search, and contact information - are visually prioritised and easier to find in the new design.

New UI Design Prototype
Based on the audit findings, a new homepage UI prototype was developed in Figma, preserving the Rīgas ūdens visual identity while introducing a more consistent design system.
Navigation, CTA buttons, news cards, useful information blocks, the FAQ section, contact form, and website footer were redesigned. The result is a more modern and structured interface designed to help users find the information they need and complete key actions more quickly, improving the overall user experience across the website.
